Certificate of incorporation and correspondence with some relation to George Halpin. Of note is a certificate of incorporation dated May 2, 1924 for the Empire State Baseball Federation, Inc. In addition, there are two letters to Halpin; one dated November 17, 1948 is handwitten and signed by Connie Mack; the second is dated November 16, 1962 and is typed and signed by George Weiss.

George Halpin was a supporter of sandlot baseball in New York City in the early part of the 20th century. He served as president of the Catholic Base Ball League and the Kenmare Athletic Club. The Empire State Baseball Federation was incorporated on May 2, 1924 to promote baseball to its membership through meeting and games and to protect the interests of the players. Connie Mack played for the Washington Statesmen (1886-1889), Buffalo Bisons (1890), and Pittsburgh Pirates (1891-1896). Mack is best known, however, as a manager.
